Wasn't Hersman chair back then, or was it right after that incident she was made chair? Either way I think she was involved with 3407 investigation IIRC.

Uh, technically, same Chairman of the NTSB for that accident!

oh sorry wrong forum.

Exactly. I worked until 10PM yesterday, and not just because I want to be chief of medicine in a few years, but because it is the right thing to do. You can have ambition and still do a good job.

Hersman seems to be an exceptional job as far as I can see, and it is unfortunate to see her "shine" in this way, but we haven't had a major crash in 10+ years if you don't count Buffalo.

Perhaps this thread might be better for ShyGuy - I'm sure if you search you can find her head photoshopped onto a bikini model somewhere.

That NTSB Chairwoman is hot!!! | SternFanNetwork
What makes Buffalo a less major crash ? Obviously it was a smaller airplane, but the loss of life and facts which came out regarding the US aviation industry were MAJOR. Not nitpicking, just wanted to understand the context or if you were simply stating that aside from that their weren't any major crashes...

More than likely, since half of us pilots are below average. OTOH, most of more recent pilots out there SHOULD have seen the PAPI stuff in their FAA knowledge test preparation - oh wait, they probably only memorized it in multiple choice fashion from some video.

Girls have a VASI, and boys have a PAPI.

Does that help?
