I stand corrected, had not heard of that accident before. I'd be interested to read that report.

I am not aware of any difference between medical O2 and what is carried in crew bottles. It is all Oxygen. What we use at work is indeed simply compressed room air. Introducing 100% O2 to a fire situation has a fairly......negative effect.

Yeah, no chit!

Aviators breathing oxygen is dehumidifed, medical O2 is not.

The accident report is on the NTSB.gov web site. You can search by registration number. There is even a difference between medical oxygen and 'aviators breathing oxygen'. Both are 100 percent oxygen but the moisture content in the aviators oxygen is more tightly controlled.

So someone definitely stole this plane right? Unless it plunged face down into the ocean and nothing broke apart.

The O2 we use in the field is also dehumidified. For the relatively short times we have a patient prehospital humidified oxygen isn't required nor desired. Some of the hospital and long term home oxygen applications are different.

Sorry if I ventured into the weeds.

No kidding. That's what happens when you have to transmit non-stop: you can't wait and to let the evidence drive the conclusions.

So I read that the plane snuck up on Diego Garcia, with the intent of refueling it, and moving onwards.

Brilliant!

Really ? I heard they went to Palau Langkaw. *rolls eyes*

The one thing I will give that guy is that he is not trying to say the pilots were acting in a devious manner. I'm beginning to feel like the crazy one for still thinking they were just part of some unfortunate event...

I see 120+ pages on this before we find a true shred of evidence that can prove a thing. 140+ pages before the CVR is found.

I wonder if the pundits, anchors, "experts," and APC accident investigators will ever publicly apologize to the pilots' families if/when they are eventually found to be victims in this tragedy.

What is your point? I spent the morning looking through my backyard, no luck. Perhaps if you loaned me your metal detector.
