If they had flown right into convective wx, which was right in front of them, couldn't an updraft have caused the VSI to go nuts?

Gotta like how there's zero information coming out from the Indonesian investigators. What gives? By now they've thoroughly analyzed the CVR and FDR and should have a pretty good idea about what happened. All they've stated is the final report will be out in August. Well hello? That's 6 months away still. They should release a preliminary report so other A320 operators can learn from it. Airbuses don't just fall out of the sky. Ok, well they kinda do, but only after a chain of errors that align the holes in a swiss cheese model. We need to know like yesterday.
