Quote: Hey what are the average street hires looking like these days? TT, PIC, Special qualifications, Fighter/Heavy, type ratings.... I'm a heavy mil guy/regional CA trying to decide if I should make an intermediate jump to an LLC for a 320/767 type or just stick it out in the E-175 until AA calls.
If you are at a WO in a base you like, I would hang tight and keep applying. I think you would be competitive. Unless you do not mind being stuck at the LLC, if AA doesn’t work out

I'm at 3,300 TT, all Jet, and I've been in the regionals for 3 years, 1.5 as a CA. Just over 1,000hrs PIC in the E-175. The regional I work for has never hired an LCA who was also a reservist so I don't see that happening any time soon.

I'm just starting as an AC in the Heavy. So I can continue building PIC in the Reserves even if I go left seat in a different 121 operation.

I got the sense at the AA hiring fair that they didn't care too much about SIC in a 320/737 only the PIC.

But it sure feels like a dead-end to keep drawing lines in the sky with a ERJ...

A lot of the regional guys came over with 10,000hrs plus. When your just ready to finally throw in the towel you will get a call.

There’s little benefit from going back to FO if you’re a Captain. Sometimes it might make sense. Your case doesnt appear to be one of them.

Mine was 3 months but I had a few minor issues that HireRight had troubles verifying in my background check. They were resolved the same day once I found out they existed.
