Quote: You’re love to paint a broad brush in attempts to demonize the 570. They didn’t cross. Every slice of the pilot population has their problem children. I enjoyed flying with quite a few of 570.

Again my apologies Sixty N Two.

Congrats Delta.
So a hired hitman is on the way to knock of your ex for you and gets a flat tire on the way. Still a hitman at the end of the day. Full intentions.

not to derail this thread, but what is the deal with 570 (I’m an outsider)? Was that the group I have heard about who was hired in 85 right before the strike (but did not work during the strike).

There was quite a bit about it in “Hard Landing”, but it didn’t really cover the follow on labor drama.

Quote: Not really. Some short term, very minor flexibility for an increased head count, a significantly lowered premium pay (200%) trigger and a new retirement plan.
A new “retirement plan”? Come on man, you’re better than that.

what was incorrect about that? From the TA bullet points, it sounds like We will be getting an additional retirement vehicle

it would have been nice if it had included a higher payment for those hired pre 9/11 into that new plan, I’ll give you that. Just not sure what he said that was wrong.*

*subject to final language and “company may...” loopholes

the folks hired before 8/11 are used to being the shock absorber for groups that benefit more from deals than others. They watch the senior give away scope to save their pensions, received lower claims/notes...all of this due to a senior mec who knew how the game was worked. Now we have a junior MEC, poof....a deal that 85% benefits junior.
