I'm once again reminded of why I should largely ignore this forum during union election periods. There's already enough BS in ALPA politics without candidates and their surrogates posting on anonymous forums. This is another reason the pilot group will always get screwed.... We're too busy chasing laser beams aimed by the usual suspects. The clown your replying to is either GK or one of his go boys.

The TA is a LOA. We, as a group,, need to get over it and move the f on.

The career isn’t devalued? So those who weren’t bumped and are losing 10-20 hrs/mo plus lost retirement contributions are better off? Temporary? Not according to those at the upper levels of the union who want to make this a standard response every time the company screams furlough. Ways to terminate but also ability to drag this out for 24 mos. We can at least agree that hopefully there will be a quick passenger recovery.

Irrational. Sure thing.

Now your Boogey man is the election and you think I’m candidate or surrogate? You’re laughable.

I think your aggression is blinding you.

No bogey men for me...sorry. What's the word we've always used? Silly season right? FWIW, yes I do think you are a candidate or a surrogate. In fact, there's very little doubt.

You seem right at home for someone who just joined the forum in October.

Here's a warning for anyone in C5. If you see anyone with the initials GK on any union ballot you should vote for the other candidate. If you see anyone allied with GK on a union ballot you should vote for the other candidate. It's just not worth the games and drama to allow him anywhere near a position of power.

Oh would you be surprised. Funny, you invoke the silly season yet you’re the one advocating for a council election. I’m the one discussing a topic.

What do yo mean “we”? I’m not getting any pay protection, but glad you got yours cause that’s all that matters right? No my rate didn’t change, but my hours sure as hell did, meaning big pay cut. Guess I’ll just enjoy my box of rocks.

Since you brought up, looks like GK is running for a non voting position. If that concerns you that much I really feel for you.
