My memory fades. Was it a Pandemic Recovery or Furlough Mitigation? Here’s to an open wallet and a part time job.

I wonder how much capital our predecessors wasted on the furlough section of our contract? I surely hope we’re getting some credit for wiping that off the books.

I could be understanding wrong, but after talking to a friend at Delta, it appears you would have to be making an average of 380K a year for the past two years at Delta before going out on LTD to have 132K a year in your pocket.

hopefully they didn’t spent too much since we would be 2200 pilots deep into our third furlough in 20 years.

oh......and we would have furloughed more pilots than any other time in our history and would have done it in 1 month.......so yeah that part of the contract appears to be worthless

Yep. That’s going to be some small 16th of the month paychecks when we assume furlough responsibility. Certainly was a lot of gloom and doom until Oct 1.

DL guy here:

LTD benefits are considered taxable income. Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA) taxes are automatically deducted from these benefits until we are absent from work for six full calendar months on account of the disability. Federal income taxes are withheld by Delta according to our current W-4 withholding instructions.

The monthly LTD benefits are equal to 50% of our Final Average Earnings. Final Average Earnings is the monthly average of the highest 12 consecutive months of normal Earnings out of the last 36 months while on Active Payroll Status (including Accident and Sick Leave and vacation).

Some of the perpetually miserable guys (thankfully lower in number every day) remind me of a good movie quote: "You're so ******* bored you have to invent things to beyotch about."
If I had to drink every time I read “No Concessions!” on a thread about a TA with no conceivable concessions, I would have been in the ER within the hour.

We could make a drinking game out of APC post. Every time you read some crazy BS...... take a drink. The winner is the one left standing.

And this place is actually one of the more moderate collectives out there!
