Quote: Any relaxation in Scope is an automatic NO vote for me on any TA. I don’t even care what the rest of the agreement says because I won’t read it.
Amen to that!

At some point in any business negotiation, there is something that can be offered to make a compromise.

For you, what is it that would cause you to consider it? It might be unrealistic... but there is something. I'm curious what that "something" is for the United pilots on here.

I get the whole "any relaxation is a No vote" tone here. But what would it take to have you at least consider it?

It's poor form to negotiate in public, even when the company is rolling out the road shows to pull on the pilot's heart strings about how much they NEED relief. The negotiating committee is well aware of the issues, they can speak for me.

It wouldn't surprise me if the company utilizes this and other forums to promote their goals.

Nope nothing would make me consider it, NOTHING!

Back to your cubicle Kirby, we don't want to play with you.

It's been considered before at both legacies and we lost thousands of jobs and worked many holidays and suffered sub standard wages for over a decade.
Then answer is no. He// no! You want the jet? Keep it on property.
NOTHING less will be CONSIDERED.

Respectfully, the issue is a non-starter, that's not hyperbole.

An example I may give you is: How much urine is acceptable in your soup? Or How many men can sleep with your wife besides you.

No amount of money will change that. (For most sane people)

You could double our pay and double our quality of life....as well as a no furlough agreement....but... then it's just a matter of time as we watch the business flyers evaporate because of the dreaded RJ's that nobody wants to ride in...

So, I guess there isn't any reason to "consider it".

I could be completely off my rocker here...but what if the scope the company wants is additional 76 sweaters in exchange for fewer 50 seaters. Right now we can have around a total of 500 rjs which is 90% of the narrow body fleet. Why not shrink the total amount down to under 400 or around 70% of narrow body fleet and allow more 76 seaters. Just a thought not sure if this is considering relaxing the scope or not.
