Quote: Anyone know of where to get a charger for the surface tablet? I left mine in Mex City. I stopped by staples..special order, ...online searched Best Buy, no luck as there seems to 40 million hits but they all seem to be for a Surface 3....this tablet seems to be obsolete. Got a trip tomm and don't have time to order one. Thought I might find a universal one maybe somewhere...
Any suggestions? Also can we plug in a USB cable to the port and charge it that way?

Thanks..

They also had them at crew outfitters at A19 in ATL.
Quote: Chief pilots office will give you one for free.
Last I checked, they are keeping bankers hours, If I don't find one soon then I will call the Duty Pilot, I think Ops/Maint has replacement tablets in case of failure. (JFK)
Quote: Shrugged off? That power now resides with Richard Anderson. I guess we'll enjoy the ride.
Maybe so (and I'm certainly not agreeing with that assertion) but recent history has shown that there is little distinction between RA and the MEC chair when it comes to looking out for the pilot group. At least with RA making the decision to undercut the DAL employees, the adversary is out in the open for all to see.
Quote: YGTBSM.

You understand that there are very limited protections in our current PWA and that the change to 1.E. in the rejected TA was an improvement, right?
Improvement? YGTBSM.

Section 1 of the rejected TA was a total surrender by ALPA.
The change from EASKs to block hours in order to "legalize" management's blatant violation of the already weak production balance was another example of ALPA giving away our jobs for nothing in return.

Then add to that our "settlement" of the production balance grievance. We took pennies on the dollar and excused their non-compliance into the future. That was outright union malpractice. A disgusting display of our union being a wholly owned subsidiary of management.

You Moakists must never again be allowed anywhere near our scope clause.
Rookie question--deviating from deadhead. Rotation starts with a deadhead tomorrow morning for no reason. I'd rather go later in day. I booked a jumpseat....is there a way I can move my positive space seat to a later flight? Is my only option to js in later?

Thanks

You can book PS as long as it is showing seats on TN under CO BUS. You can book upto 14 days prior FYI. Call scheds and let them know you are deviating within 24 hours from start of rotation.

Also if you are new and don't have it, download Scheduling Reference Handbook to your phone. It's all in there.

Thanks, I knew this thread would be the quickest answer. And I do need to download that again.

If your are by a CPO, Call the Help Desk (888-714-0529). Those metal boxes that are usually around/ outside of the CPO have chargers, tablets and keyboards. The help desk can tell you the code to open the box and then take what you need. Remember to fill out the sheet that is in the box too.

I left my charger at home on the way to a trip once, stopped into the CPO and she handed me a loaner. Luckily my tablet was already charged up when I left the house, you might be able to get both a charger and a charged up keyboard out of the drop box or at the CPO.
