Quote: If anyone that isn’t flowing in less then 1.5 years doesn’t have their app in at frontier your crazy. Upgrade is at 2 year and 10 months. Year 3 captain pay is well over 200/hr. Philly will be junior for a while and likely an RDU base next.

IF the deliveries pan out as scheduled anyone hired this year will be sitting really pretty.

So you got your apps in over there huh?

I have apps in a lot of places, as everyone in the regionals should.

For sure, just was curious if you were gonna go to f9 since you won’t be flowing in 1.5 years or if you’re gonna hold out for something else.

Don’t look down on the product, look at margins and consumer spending habits... Frontier will be around in some way shape or form in 20 years.

Honestly right now if you look at numbers and business model I’d almost venture to say there’s a better chance of F9 being around in 20 years then AA.

Parker is trying to half a$$ make AA a LCC. That isn’t going to work. Isn’t going to be a market for a middle of the road LCC/Legacy mix. Now more then ever the majority of the flying public just wants to get from point A to point B for as cheaply as possible. The other customers want premium service like Delta offers. AA is stuck in the middle with a ton of debt and a relatively inefficient fleet.

Exactly. Even if the name isn’t around it’s pilots very likely won’t be on the street.

The biggest threat to Piedmont, after the incredible amount of time it takes to train pilots, is hiring from JetBlue, Spirit, and Frontier.
Combined, Piedmont could be brought to bear very easily. Your operation is very vulnerable as hiring really ramps up throughout the industry.

This summer is going to be interesting and may be the proverbial straw that breaks the camel's back.

Look for lca's to fly as FOs. If the FOs continue to leave in droves expect forced downgrades. When SOE CA's fly as FOs training takes a dive. I believe the feds shut this down last year when they tried it.

If we fall below 725 pilots the flow goes to 5 per month. There is no snap back protection language in the in the flow LOA.

This could have all been avoided last year with a good faith contract, that paid us what we deserve and given us a QOL improvement we deserve.

In my honest opinion I can't see PDT flight ops continuing without a major change.
