As I walked around TK last month I kept thinking they didn't build this monstrosity to sit idle. 153 people in the pool and they were doing CPP interviews each week.

About time we hired.

Anyone have an idea of where this information is coming from? I don’t remember reading anything about increased hiring in 2018, only 450 or so new hires. Sounds like were just ****ing in the wind again, hoping for something better

The new hire/interview team just wrapped up a big pow wow at TK in September where they were told 450 for all of 2018.

Not saying things don't change fast around here, but I'd like to know what 6th degree source the latest rumor is emerging from.

Obviously there has been nothing officially published as it would be on APC within minutes.

That said, the UAL board also just approved construction of yet another new sim building at TK. We don't always know the "plan", and we often do not like the "plan", but management always has a "plan."

And UAL never spends $$$ unless it's part of the "plan." Whatever it is.

(Caveat: the long term strategy committee meets at 09:00 and 15:00 daily.)

Does anyone have any ballpark numbers as to the total number of new hires UA has brought on property since the gates opened in 2013?
