Why do guys get so worked up over the bypassers? It’s not like we have a disperportionate number compared to other carriers. The bottom Captain is roughly 67% system senority which is lower than Delta and Fedex maybe more.

Exactly.

Junior CA has been hovering in the 65% ballpark with 450-500 (as high as 600!) bypassers the last few years, and after the Dec 2016 MOAB the junior CA award was 75%.

We're right in the ballpark of recent norms.

In the words of AA, we hire captains.

Now if we only had the “up or out” ala old AA with the ability to downbid after your seat lock. Some have never been captains...anywhere...ever.

Speechless.

First, the overwhelming gripe was “FO for life” at UPS. The horror of waiting 15 years to upgrade. Or whatever was estimated. It was always an entitlement viewpoint.

Now it’s shifted to those bypassing. Because now they are in your way of a better QOL in the right seat? But.....you can upgrade well before the 15 year mark! 2006 junior captain. Like a kid playing “would you rather kiss a snake on the head or a rabbit between the ears”. No right answer.

Do you ever listen to yourselves?

S.R. please go back to the B & G and keep jerking each other off on how great this place is, meanwhile Fedex and Amazon make our jobs disappear. I guess since we finally got our upgrades, none of the other guys who have been regressing for the past 10 years are allowed to ***** about anything cause all you jerk-offs said so. Word of advice, come up with a hobby and spend less time on the internet.

Poolie
Couple questions for those in training or through training. I interviewed Mar 29th and got the pool letter a week or so later.

How big is the pool? # people, etc
Is there an unofficial listing?
They only do 1 class per month?
Classes are about 12 people per class, right?

Seems like some get a class date pretty quick. I’ve been swimming for 2 months without any word, etc.

Is there anything someone can do to get through the pool a bit faster?

Thanks for the info.

It has nothing to do with my QOL of life. Notice I put in they could downbid also so they could go back to being FO.

You obviously didn’t get what I was saying.
