Definitely going to be even more of a sucking sound in the Windy City as all those junior 145 pilots get sucked out of ORD and into NY.

So this all went down on 6/15, or 17 days ago.

Two weeks notice at a job.
Potentially moving.
ATP-CTP, which is 7-8 days.

So they’re unemployed and already in or committed to CTP. Between the RTPs and the ATP-CTP courses they owe $170k+ combined if they renege. How is this confusing to you guys?

We have been warning people for far longer that 17 days. I think we started warning people way back in January when the company walked away from another AIP. We are now on our second one they didn't honor. Where exactly do you get 170K from? Seems pretty steep. You can grab an ATP/CTP from ATP for like $4500. You telling me the rest is for flight training? If so that is absurd and you have been ripped off big time.

At some point, people need to own their decisions to come here and own the consequences on the pilot group for doing just that.

The company is paying 170k+ to get a new hire??? The shortage is for sure here if that's the case.

Not *per* new hire, but CTP is a $5k note per FO who needs it. RTPs and Cadets all have other commitments for the money they received.

So they owe at least $5k each.

Like others have said, Envoy has been at or near the bottom in almost every category for several months now. Envoy has still managed to get people in the door with crappy pay and crappy QOL.

I understand why RTPs would apply. Cadets? For SJS and a quick couple of thousand bucks, sure. Why folks would apply off the street to Envoy in the past six months, though, is beyond me. Sorry.
