When the MSP 200 base closed, a bunch of 200 LCAs became 900 pilots. We haven't restaffed those LCA positions on the 200 yet.

Drug their feet yes but their doing something about it. Unfortunately none of these new hire check airman will be able to help in the short term cause the training process for them takes a while.
About 5 200 LCAs finishing training this month.

What’s average IOE time running nowadays. I had heard we were below average for the regional industry in number of hours typically required.

Around 35ish was last I heard a few months ago from a LCA, but I'm not sure how accurate that is. But if accurate, then yes, we are below average...which isn't necessarily a good thing. Might mean we have a solid training program. Might mean we're signing off guys too early and making new reserve captains deal with ill-prepared new hires. I'd like to think the former over the latter but some of these new guys have me questioning that lol.

So, the answer to my initial question is 10 weeks on the 200 what if i dont want the 200? I want the 900. Yes i get what i get but what are the chances i’ll get the 900 in NYC out of training and if i do get the 900 how long is training on the 900. My concern is paying my bills not a 10 Week vacation meaning if i fly i get more money meaning i can pay my bills. Min guarantee is not enough. Anyone with an answer? Thanks

You bid for equipment and base during indoc. Most classes have been about 75% CR9. Chances are if the last 4 of your social is 5000+ you will be able to get whichever aircraft you want.

Keep in mind although the 200 has a 10 week vacation the 900 has about 1 year of reserve with very little flying out of NYC.

It didn't seem that long according to the latest seniority list, but my memory may not be the best.

If you want more than min guarantee, the last thing you want is NYC 900 FO... You'll be lucky to fly 10 hours a month until you hold a line.

I don’t want to blame our instructors; but there is certainly a problem with new hires not being used in RSV. Theae new skills atrophy rapidly The FAA requires rapid CKS for a reason. RSV captains are coaching almost every flight; which I’m ok with, but it’s hard work some days...
