Training delay

I wouldn't say easily, especially for a new hire. There wasn't much OT in October, and probably less in November. The reserve grid doesn't go green very often, either. I think you are painting a rather optimistic picture of what it's like on the bottom of reserve here.

I'm not sure if "easily" properly describes the process to get to 120+ credit per month as a reserve. Definitely do-able, but one would have to pick up high-value trips from open time and the trade board and work a 6-on 2-off or 6-on 1-off schedule. Even being near the top of the short call ranks and bidding first-out isn't enough to get much flying right now, so one cannot expect to break the 75-hr reserve guarantee on assignments received on reserve days.
Being able to drop reserve days and pick up higher credit flying to replace the dropped days would help, but reference aforementioned issues with the reserve grid rarely being green.
Crediting 120-130 hrs on reserve as NYC 900 FO is definitely do-able for the few motivated enough to do it, I'm just not sure I'd call it "easy." Maybe I just haven't done enough truly difficult things in my life

It’s easy to do if you live in base/tri state area Also works if you live in other bases. Bid a 6 on 1 off schedule in pbs and pickup 2 of the numerous trips in open time on the 18th. En duo only working 12-15 days a month. Commuters... fuggedaboutit.

But for anyone wondering... Dynamic scheduling sucks.

That's a moving Target right now. The rollout of dynamic scheduling has not gone well. Assuming it evens out it should be pretty quick. But this recent new hire and upgrade class sat a lot. Probably just working there bugs out.
