Not true entirely true, but for new hires coming in, yes there should be no delay on the 900

It seems really promising for the company. All the instructors I've talked to, along with ANYBODY in upgrade training will tell you it's 100% a company benefit and in no way is beneficial for the pilots.

You only know your schedule 18 hours in advance for the next day, along with your partner and instructor. If you're in the later blocks like 1700 or 2100 you stand a significantly lower chance of being scheduled at all the following day because the only blocks you could be scheduled in are the 1700 and 2100 slots and if those are booked for recurrent (which isn't dynamic), instructor training, or sim mx, you are out of luck. You can't go home that next day when though you're off.

Not to mention the rampant contact violations that are still occurring daily. Yes there are literally dozens of grievances out, but the 'fly it grieve it' sucks when it means you don't see your family, don't progress in training, don't maintain training continuity, and don't know what to expect.

I'm not saying it won't get better, I'm just saying that dynamic scheduling is not for pilots. It's for the company.

My experience is already disappointing a week in. Showed up Tuesday night. Finally got my pt1 Friday evening. Just this morning I saw that it had me "off" yesterday and today. I talked with somebody at breakfast who told me that his schedule didn't even show the offs..he tried to get a flight home for what was SUPPOSED to be his two off days only to be told that no, you're now on day 2. Those 2 off days after the pt1 for upgrade resets the six days.

I e talked to other guys who've had way worse experiences...I for one would be happier having a longer footprint with a known schedule than this train wreck we have now

I guess the question is, " is this debacle in long term training worth every position getting double the long call reserve positions"?

Are people getting 4 hrs credit for every day sitting idle in the hotel room waiting to be assigned?

Nope. Basically you are on reserve, MSP based, 6 on 2 off, while in long term training.

Check with grievances or the MEC and make sure that stuff is contractual. New programs sometimes create new misunderstandings and you may be bringing something meaningful to light.

But sounding off on an open Internet forum is so much more effective!
