That he is in denial and is formulating info to convince himself it's "not that bad"

Quote: New retirement numbers from the combined seniority list that was just released.

2019 - 20
2020 - 35
2021 - 47
2022 - 60
2023 - 57
2024 - 62
2025 - 87
2026 - 75
2027 - 98
2028 - 74
2029 - 105

That goes through the end of 2029 so is 11 years worth of retirements totaling 720 pilots out of our total of 2869 is only 25% of the list in 11 years. I say only because compared to the Big 3 that is quite a large difference. That combined with a growth rate of 2% for our regional carriers next year means I hope you enjoy where you’re at on the base position list.
Or from a far more junior perspective, if EVERY vacancy is filled by flow from the 750 pilots at Horizon (not going to happen but for the sake of illustration) it would only be about an 11 or 12 year flow for the junior guy working there now...

What I just said. Look at SWA, go ahead, put Jet Blue and Frontier in there. You get around 30%. The big 3 are higher but that does not translate evenly across all bases and fleet types.

Fine, go to the big 3, what is holding you back?

We I am approaching 2 years at Alaska and I am bidding 64% in Seattle. Friends at Delta on the 73 in Seattle are 84% at 4 years. That is how I sleep, using math.

12/14 hires are <40% on the SEA 737 list at DL

I take melatonin for sleep, counting sheep never worked for me personally;-)

You should read your post out loud or maybe ask a friend to read them before you hit submit.

Then someone doesn’t know how to do math because people don’t leave the 73 in SEA and they go a lot of 74 displaments. If the are <40% then their schedules suck worse than ours and that is saying a lot.

Why would the fact that seniority is dramatically better than you said suggest that their schedules suck?

The 12/14 hire would be #40/103 in SEA. I’ll bet their schedule is at least okay.

Groomsman is bidding 43% and has been there less than 3.5 years. Your “buddies” must be wanting to make you look like an *********.

Also, you do know that people can bid across fleet types at the legacies, right? So retirements will always be disproportionately from the biggest, easiest, and highest paying aircraft...right? I mean, you can’t be that dense...right?!

So leave them. I like my schedule. I get the days off I want. What more is there? You are obviously not getting it.
