Actually closer to 7 years. The bottom line holder is a 2012 hire.

Well, my current assessment is based on the large vacancies that opened. More captains are resigning and going places.

Ahh ok. In that case yeah 5ish years. Will see how this vacancy shakes out!

Quote: Just checked. After a little over a year of flying, I averaged about 70 hours a month in the logbook.
Thanks, Cessnaflyer1213, that's really helpful. How long did it take you to hit the line after you started training?

Training Delay, says who?
I’ve PM’d several folks who I’ve seen on several threads make claims that training is taking 5+ months to complete, no responses from any. Is their anyone currently in training who can back this claim up or provide insight to the current training timeline? Or if someone who just got finished with training could chime in that’d be helpful also. State facts please, not troll BS or an emotional rant. Appreciate the help ladies/gents.

I am over 5 months since DOH. I only know of one person from my class that’s made it to the line. Some have completed a full set of sims and require extra training. Some have not. I also know someone hired in April who is on the line and others from that time who have had 20 + sims meanwhile those hired in January are still waiting. People are resigning due to the wait am training going out of seniority

Well currently the time off between systems and CPT is about 7-8 weeks. They are placing a higher priority on putting the upgraded Captains through CPT and sims. There's a big demand for them now.

You get paid the entire time during your break.

Indoc and Systems is a month. A two-month hiatus period. CPT and Sims are roughly a month.

Once you pass your checkride, you'll roll right into IOE the next two days. It's actually uncommon if you have to wait more than two days.

Keep studying
There is a bit of a backlog/delay but I don’t think it’s as long as 5 months.

The problem most folks are having is they aren’t keeping their heads in the books during the down time. You’re still getting paid the least you can do is keep the information fresh.

All I can say is, it’s worth the wait. Hang in there.

I would use the five months to find a better regional job. I did my time at Air Wisconsin and I am not likely to recommend that product to others.

Why would you not recommend Air Wis? I ask because I am sending out multiple applications. I know the regional world is "pick your poison" so to speak and a stepping stone to the future but it would help to know someone's inside perspective. I've heard from people that Air Wis is great and I've heard from others to stay away.
