Quote: Never mind, folks. F my life. Tweeter in chief just burned all of us.
You all just like jumping to conclusions eh? Your “Tweeter and chief” just cut through the left wing media and delivered a message straight to you. He said he was willing to use the money left from the last stimulus for a Cares 2 for the airlines, essentially giving airlines like mismanaged AA a lifeline. What did Pelosi offer? She sure is determined to bail out democratic run states and cities that have been mismanaged for decades. Balls in her court now.

“The House & Senate should IMMEDIATELY Approve 25 Billion Dollars for Airline Payroll Support, & 135 Billion Dollars for Paycheck Protection Program for Small Business. Both of these will be fully paid for with unused funds from the Cares Act. Have this money. I will sign now!” the president wrote in another tweet.

Sadly this means little to nothing in reality.

Yes, understood but to blame it on the “tweeter and chief” is nonsense when you really need the house and the senate to come together and vote on something. Basically Pelosi is holding this hostage because she wants a substantial amount to go to democratic states and cities that purposely ran themselves into the ground the last several months and are doing it again. Throw in the fact that cities and states controlled by Democrats for decades are totally trashed now. Let’s burn down our neighborhoods and then ask for the fed to bail us out.

The state and local payouts are based on population. Red states are getting just as much money as blue states and for the same reasons. Good job regurgitating the blatently manufactured talking points though.

"Amounts paid to States, the District of Columbia, U.S. Territories, and eligible units of local government are based on population as provided in the CARES Act. The CARES Act directs Treasury to use U.S. Census Bureau data for the most recent year for which data is available. The amount of payments made to each State was reduced by the aggregate amount of payments that was disbursed to eligible local governments within such State that provided the required certifications to Treasury."

Yes, and states like Illinois, NY, California, proportionately get more and have what in common?
The orange Covid man himself said he would sign legislation to save the likes of AA as a clean Cares extension with left over funds. But Pelosi doesn’t want that.
While you are at it, why don’t you let them add into the bill to change the presidential election to the popular vote if you think everything should be based on population concentrations. I’m sure people out here in my flyover states want to live like NY and LA folks.

Proportionally get more? Based on population? How dense are you?

The average wages in those states are higher than in the red states, so actually by basing it on population those states are proportionally getting less back from the Fed govt than they pay in, but that wasn't explained to you by 'your people' was it?

Are you actually argueing that federal funds should be allocated in the same manner as electoral college electors?

I guess that’s where my mind goes, considering you live in Vt, another state looking to over tax and residents looking for handouts. Bernie will help you out, enjoy you furlough and pending bankruptcy.

I'm actually fiscally conservative. I don't think public sector unions should be legal and that while states are supposed to balance their budgets every year, that should include forbidding pensions and bonds in order to actually mean "balanced budget".

The difference between you and me is that no matter how many times I punch myself in the head I can't read those talking points you spouted off without seeing them as the obvious propaganda that they are.

Well, you obviously weren’t fiscally conservative when you picked which airline you went to work for or where you decided to live. Good luck.
