You didn't actually intend to post this did you?

It's about as tone deaf as the "one time pay adjustments"
Why is this bad? My friend who is starting his IQ the same day for a different plane is allowed to continue working his program manager job for a DoD contractor, while collecting his NQAT pay.

I bid with the expected timeline. I worked my orders around scheduled training and conversion date.

Might be a dumb question, but how do I go about bidding vacation on my new category that I just converted to today? Thank you.

I would have preferred to stay active, and was retiring from the reserves before the MOAD debacle.

Company did this massive displacement, UNA etc debacle. Id rather have just been on reserve in NYC but they did the massive MOAD vs SILs and other incentive lines.

Quote: I left a message for BS on Monday letting him know the AE memo would come out on Thursday announcing an AE on Friday. Apparently he didn't get the message and indicatedn it woukd be out Tuesday, no Wednesday, wait Wed night, oops Thursday morning. Funny how that happens, every time....
In an effort to help for March, CR has my permission to copy and paste the below text...
"We have a surplus of pilots in ATL 717B and are posting a displacement bid of 30 positions. If enough pilots bid out of ATL 717B, we may not award all posted displacements. Because of the displacements the conversion window for this AE is 365 days."

They gotta have a displacement bid and 717B has the least downstream impact.

They don’t need to do that to get a 365. BS said in the memo that they will displace lax/sea 7er, likely the some of the same spots that were just cancelled.

Quote: Also the surprise mass convert has made it so a lot if guys on mil orders but not training for months aren't able to collect Delta pat while on orders.

Of course those with non military Rona jobs can double dip.

I think its kinda BS. I am supposed to be back in time for my late April SRQ, but now I can't get paid by Delta because I'm off doing stuff with my reserve squadron, but my sim partner who is working at a non mil job is ok to get paid as long as he makes training.

There’s no way that this is kosher with USSERA. If your IQ partner is able to do something that you’re not just because of your military service then you have a pretty strong case.

I’m not entirely sure why all the hate for mil guys on the forum. It’s not like you demanded the UNA whiplash and asked for double pay this last year. It was some good planning to make sure you got through a tough time, it’s pretty hard to pivot on a dime with the government.

There's plenty of us that agree its illegal but nobody has wanted to be the guy who gets fired over it and then hope the courts go with your side for USERRA protection .

Hearing the Co is going to be short pilots almost exactly the number of UNA’s + VEOP’s 🤦‍♂️ So training backlog on the way down and on the way up. Great opportunity for advancement as long as they don’t do a PRP

Is there a way to challenge it without breaking the rule? From my non military knowledge it does seem like this would probably be a winnable case, but I certainly would not stake my career on it

I've been retired for a few years, but I seem to recall being prevented from working for Delta while on active duty orders. Is it the AD orders that are getting in the way of double dipping or Delta policy against mil duty while on a trip/reserve?
