Quote: Medical leave is indefinite? Isn’t there a point where they have to go on disability or something?
3 years and if you haven't gotten your medical back you are out. You could get your medical back before the 3 years is done and work for a while and then go out again for another 3 years.

Thanks. I see the dilemma now. I totally understand why the PPA number was reduced. Doesn’t help anyone on the outside trying to get in, but it helps to know why.

Another thing about our medical leave is that after you come back to work, you can go out again on medical leave for the 3 years for another ailment. When you return off medical leave, you have to be back at work for 90 days to reset your original ailment for 3 years. We have had some that use this for quite a few ailments to ride out multiple medical leaves. It isn't a extremely high number but enough I am sure it is something the company isn't fond of.

I know one pot that had multiple joint replacements done and took advantage of our 6 month short term medical leave that pays out at 60% disability for each one before he finally retired.

I’ve started submitting elsewhere. It’s a shame, but I’m trying to get in right when NetJets built a fortress to keep new hires out.

I believe we will start hiring this fall if the flying continues as it is right now. The money raise is a short term fix. It seems more and more pilots are growing weary of it and calling in fatigue. Sure there are some that will fly no matter what, but for others after a certain point, they have had enough. NetJets always seems to be so risk adverse when it comes to hiring and waits until they absolutely have too.

Not so fast. Classes resume this month.

Fingers crossed. That’s great news. If they start interviewing again and they decide to flush the applicants, do we get any sort of priority or do we apply from the beginning?

That happened years ago if you were paying attention. Maybe they will call, but you will be a new hire for a decade if they do.

Wasn’t expecting to upgrade in the time I have left in my career. So, being a new hire for ten years doesn’t bother me unless the company were to furlough.

Source? Haven't heard a peep from the company, or the union, or the Lords of the Message Board.
