Yea during the test it popped up a message saying my “calculator” program was running in the background. Which it was not . Hope this doesn’t trigger something unfortunate.

And before starting the test it said I had one program running which I closed them through the testing app. So hoping for the best!

Should be good - I had the same experience. Program said something was open - nothing that I saw, but I had the software close it. Took it Saturday evening, received my email Monday morning to schedule an interview. Good luck!

This thread is bringing back all the memories of excitement, anticipation, and impatience I had many years ago! Good luck - I'm pulling for you and hope to see you at United soon 🙂

For example, going firstly through GoJet and getting into the Aviate programme or directly go as First Officer?
As far as I know, there have been NO Aviate poolies that have been offered a class date yet. Someone posted a week or so ago that there had, but I know a few that are very close to the top of the FIFO list who haven't heard anything. Even then, they still have to go through the "review board" and pass that before they are considered worthy to be let into the "real" pool of OTS hires.

If your position as Boeing narrow body FO is correct, stay where you are and just apply off the street. If you go to a UA regional, you have to put in a minimum of 2 years and 2000 hours before you can transition.

It remains to be seen how fast they will draw from the Aviate pool, but at the moment, it looks like it will be at a snail's pace and there probably is about 6-700 in that pool right now. Aviate is only good for brand new, fresh out of flight school, low time pilots.

Is it pretty tight lipped the amount of people in the Aviate pool? Is it 400? 600? 800? 1000? I suppose if the wheels start turning, even if you are #999 it really isn't that bad of a wait. How many pilots were trained/hired in 2019 at UAL?

Then again, lack of international travel may dampen hiring. Anyone know if there is a recalculated projected early retirements list after all the early outs? I realize my post is full of questions, sorry.

Most people here won’t know about Aviate for sure unless like you, they are posting from another carrier. Regarding your comment about #999, you have to remember that classes will still be filled from a mix of Aviate and OTS hires, so those at the bottom of the Aviate pool would likely still be years from the potential of getting hired.

I know everyone says expect to hear yay or nay on Wednesday but the one recruiter told me Monday or Tuesday, anyone hear anything yet?
