Has anyone gotten an interview yet that wasn’t already in the pipeline prior to covid?

I was part of the pipeline and still haven’t heard back from the recruiter yet since I reached out to them when hiring resumed. Just playing the waiting game for now I guess.

Quote: I have accepted a job with FlexJet, mostly because NetJets wasn't hiring. What are the odds of being able to move from Flex to NetJets in the future? I've seen a couple of posts on this forum hinting that FX pilots are blacklisted at QS but I'm hoping that's not the case.

NetJets has plenty of ex-Flex pilots working there. Ive flown with several of them. I’ve never met one that regretted leaving Flex. NetJets was truly a greener pasture for them in every way.

I don’t know if we have hired any since they voted out their union. Nor do I know anything about NetJets hiring process.

If you took the job at Flex prior to the vote then I don’t see it being an issue, but again that just my personal opinion and I’m not involved in any hiring.

A good friend of mine hired on to NJA from Flex after the vote.
He is already making more money( he was a phenom captain at Flex)
According to him he couldn’t be happier.
Of course it will be a long time before he sits in the left seat but as the pay is better and the overall treatment and better benefits who cares?
I have also been told personally by management that they love hiring pilots away from Flex. They already know how this business works and what to expect on the road.
All this being said,I have never heard of a pilot leaving NJA to go to Flex.
Hmmm I wonder why?

One of the best things a company can do to hurt their competition is hire their best talent. I would welcome any FX pilot that would be a valuable asset to our ranks. Unless it comes to light that they voted yes on the decertification.... only Union pilots need apply.

Maybe Flex pilots coming to NJA will appreciate what a real union looks like after seeing the true protections it provides and seeing a combined union/management relationship working as a team.

I agree. I’ve never seen a NJA pilot leave for Flex. Only the other way around.

Probably for the same reason that FX/QS pilots leave and go to Spirit and no Spirit pilot leaves for FX/QS.

And for the same reason Spirit pilots leave for Delta and no Delta pilot leaves for Spirit.

Not every pilot is looking to leave their current gig but there certainly is a pecking order and a check valve that keeps the flow going in one direction.

There are plenty of Delta guys that want to come to NetJets. I’m even stopped at airline terminals to answer their questions. Unfortunately they’re 64 and think NetJets is a retirement hobby.

To be clear, they ONLY want to come to NJA as a retirement gig. Nobody wants to leave Delta for NetJets lol. Not a dig on NJA but let's keep it real, nobody his looking to leave their legacy airline gig for NetJets.
