Thanks for the inside info
I think OpSpecs only allow short white socks when paired with all white or all black New Balance shoes and Jorts. Hawaiian shirts are optional.

This is the fractional world we’re talking about. Free FBO shirts are the way to go.

Yes, we pilots are bad dressers. When I was furloughed I seriously considered having my then wife at the time color code the tags on my shirts, pants and ties so I wouldn’t look like a clown. Well, any more like a clown than normal. That being said, it was common knowledge at one point in time if you wanted a job with a particular carrier, you went to the interview looking like you belonged.

Best of luck to all who apply! If the fractional world is where you wish to be, you’ll find no better place.

Cheap a$$ pilots?!? I'm a fashion casualty myself. At least that's what I've been told. Same clothes in my bag, week after week.

Me too. But who cares? I want to be comfortable on the road if I even get long enough rest time to wear civvies. Not a fashion plate.

And it makes packing easier...

Until the next Part 121 train wreck.

They seem to happen with splendid predictability.

Every 7-10 years.

That’s really no record to be proud of or gloat over.

How many did NJA furlough in '09 and how long did they stay on the street?

What's the worry when the government bails them out each time? Sure, some had to take a reduce paycheck this last round, but the paid vacation for those who could handle it was a blast. I know some that didn't want to go back to work as the enhanced paid vacation was a blast.
