Quote: I have an upcoming Fixed wing(Army) deployment. Would it harm my chances of interview invite if I publish my app before leaving.

I’m planning to put an accurate availability date. I have a Delta pilot LOR attached to it.

If the app gets pulled and score high enough to receive an invite, would they place me in a “Will interview pile”

I’m worried if I publish before leaving, would burn my chances with the internal rec. [emoji848]

any insights would be highly appreciated.

I got my invite in August but couldn’t schedule the interview until late October. They were quite flexible with the interview date.

They were quite flexible with the class date as well when I told them I need a week to move at the end of my notice period.

The vibe I’m getting from the Delta Pilot Recruitment team is that they really want you and will work with your schedule.

Quote: Yeah, I'm in the same spot...waiting until the 7th day and then emailing them if nothing in the in-box. It seems to be blind luck for those who heard back within hours, and others that waited weeks...
Took it last Monday, nothing yet. If nothing by tomorrow will email them.
Sudoku killed me, the other parts of the test were okay. Not sure if I will get the score Delta wants… hoping for the best!

Just got the rejection email (can reapply in 6mo). Any insight on what part causes qla failure? Thought the online "games" went ok so I assume the personality test didn't go well. Definitely seemed like an odd set of questions. But maybe I'm a psychopath...

Just got the TBNT e-mail. Took the assessment last Monday felt really confident on all the tests all I can guess is the personality assessment didn’t go well. Huge bummer and let down. Good luck to everyone I hope nobody else has to feel the let down.

Failed online assessment
Hey guys, just wanted to chime in and get some advice. I received my invitation to take the online assessment and used RST and CUT-e for prep. I hit the practice tests all week and took the assessment the other day. I was notified within hours of not making the cut. It says I can re-apply in 6 months. I am just in shock to be honest. Mainly because I felt good about the test overall. I am not sure where I came up short. Tracking the moving dots was challenging above 8-9 and so ended up guessing my best on those. The sudoku, and multitask seems pretty good. Any idea how many actually fail the assessment? The only think I can think of, is during the RMI orientation portion, I would hold up my pencil to the monitor to help me picture the aircraft in relation to the beacon, and I am not sure if that is a no-no or not. I read the instructions carefully to make sure I would not break any known rules etc. Should I reapply in 6 months, or am I on a "list" so to speak from here on out with Delta? Thanks folks.

Same here, I felt really good about it, and received the email shortly after. I am still in shock.

Pure speculation, but I honestly think the games are meant to stress you out and fatigue you mentally prior to the personality test. I’m pretty sure my sudoku and tube flight were well below average, but I still got the interview. Hopefully you guys get another invite as soon as that six months hits. Best of luck.

To the above posters. Definitely reapply, DAL wanted you once; they’ll want you again.

Hate that for you and others that posted the same. I felt like the test lulled me into thinking the personality portion was an afterthought. I spent all of my time preparing for the cog stuff and didn't give much thought to the personality.

Anecdotal evidence incoming: I've talked with friends who felt they did great on the cog and didn't get the invite, and friends that thought they bombed on the cog and got it. Makes me think the personality is weighted pretty heavily. I certainly didn't give it much thought, but just did like I always do on personality tests and tried to stay as neutral as possible.

Disclaimer: I’m far from being an expert on personality tests

I don’t think neutrality or analysis result in good scores. Honesty and consistency seem to go further. If you answer with what you perceive to be the “right” answers all the time, the test will be invalidated because there are no perfect people without any faults. If the test detects you to be too perfect, it assumes that you’re lying.

So be honest and don’t overthink it too much.
