Your snark would be more effective if you carried any amount of respect around here. But by all means, troll on!

Quote: See. Now you know what I'm talking about. The stress adds up on you but does nothing for the real meaning of "security". Remember, don't carry your first class knife back through security. They'll take it from you because you're too dangerous. NO JOKE.

Wait hold up, if I can’t put my (used by me)freebie plastic knife from my crew meal (chicken with ****ake sauce) into my cooler bag and keep it through security, then WHAT (and I re-emphasize) WHAT am I even doing this job for? What’s next my stapler? I say neigh!!!! One acronym, three words: O.P.L. Yes One Pilot List will put the Kabash on this harassment.

The Chief Software Officer of the USAF recently resigned citing the inability of the USAF to place good, secure and reliable IT systems into place.

That's the guy with likely the biggest budget and most autonomy in the uniformed services for IT as a service systems.

But the FAA is going to secure these autonomous IT systems with a bunch of flying missiles rolling around.

I don't doubt you COULD automate a flight deck under extraordinarily permissive conditions. The question is if you SHOULD.

The automated Google maps cars still crash and run over people. All it would take is one airplane crash attributed to automation, rightly or wrongly, and the court of public opinion would throw away all that goodwill and security the airline industry has built up.

And so do the cars driven by people.

Nope. Until software doesn't crash or gets hacked. Software cannot detect false input data.

That's a great way to get the Fed's involved and mediators to decide our contract. That would cause serious harm and lead to a delay of a new contract by a couple of years. Please do not post garbage like this.
