You betcha we code it - to what exactly the PPX codes - which one do you use?
PTSA…is that one. I don’t know them all by heart.

Only one thing will solve the issues:

ONE group of pilots, ONE set of PRINCIPLES
Are you saying to make a drastic change to create just one pilot group from all, just because of a slightly reduced convenience, by getting randomed and yet still getting to cut in front of all other pax in line? Pretty decent troll post, congrats.

Do you have this page up on your phone to show them? It specifically says you go through pre-check whether or not you are in uniform. I would ask for a supervisor.

I guess maybe you haven’t been keeping up on current events. SWAPA is picketing because of company issues. Pilots are, more and more, disrespected for their stripes. We have the hardest and highest duty to do our jobs in front of the cockpit door and the facts are simple. Maybe all pilots should go to Washington and picket the TSA for their treatment of us as well. Some of you seem to think a little inconvenience in security keeps us all safe when in reality it’s just another way of telling you who’s the boss. You’re showing up to do your job professionally. Your background check should be enough. National stress is through the roof and distrust in both our companies and government is high as well. Ive spoken with several people and many, many more of us are feeling “the burn” much more than normal (whatever that is anymore). It makes this time in our lives a 9/11 part 2. Will it even end if all of us say as one we’ve had enough politicians running our cockpits? Only one way to find out but I think not. Politics over principle.

I disagree. Background checks are not just “good enough”. We are still just people. We tend to try to get away with things if there’s a way that presents itself, and the risk/reward is in the sweet spot. So we absolutely should be kept honest by random checks imho. Ronald Reagan said it. “Trust but verify”.

You've taken that out of context and was not meant for the American Citizen. You're quote doesn't apply to us. We've been vetted already. Pretty sad state of affairs to surrender YOUR reward for OUR RISK. Random checks prove little to nothing. Pilots are now terrorists in the eyes of the people in baby blue.

the problem lies in the fact that it isn’t just pilots who use KCM. Example- Pilots spend a decade (give or take) gaining the knowledge and experience to get to an airline. Along the way, various HR gauntlets, background checks, FAA certifications, medical certifications etc. We, as a pilot group, are then granted access to KCM. A friend of mine who was cutting hair a year ago just got hired by one of our regionals as a flight attendant. She has the same access to KCM that we do. So, unless they just increase FA randoms, I don’t see this going away. They treat us all the same.
