Quote: Yep. But a couple things- people underestimate how much AA management hates labor, and would rather burn the place to the ground than “give away” something. As has been pointed out, the low-hanging fruit that is 401k start date for non-flow new hires and pay effective date is something AA will hopefully NEED to fix on their own and SHOULD fix on their own. I asked some people who would supposedly have knowledge of APA’s updated proposal, and they indicated that it is indeed part of the ask. I personally don’t think it’s a top priority, nor should it be (AA should fix it themselves like Delta did for new hire hotels), but it’s in there. That sorta dispels the notion that “APA won’t even ask for it” and “APA doesn’t care about new hires”.
between everyone who has worked at our wholly owned before, who already get it, and military guys who take a lot of orders during year one, what percentage of our new hires even really care? Not saying we shouldn’t fight for it, just wondering how much pressure there is to get it.

Where you tried to say my post was incorrect but failed? Yes, probably in one of the other threads.

The one where I factually corrected your “facts”, yes that one. Funny how you never responded to that one either.

The one where somebody already responded before I got a chanced and told you that you were wrong? Why would I respond if someone did it for me? You need two people to tell you that?

Just so this doesn't get lost from the meaningless posts from the company stooge was so excited about his extra week of vacation he was about to vote in an industry lagging contract:

- No 401K contribution your first year
- Your second year pay won't start until a year and a half after your hire date, that will remain your pay-date for the rest of your career.

These two things combined will result in hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost retirement income.

Unlike Delta and United where new hires get a wide range of base and aircraft choices (including widebodies) right out of class, you will get 737 or A320 in LGA and MIA with a hope and a prayer you get the base you want within your first year. This was the last class drop:

MIA FO 737 I - 5
LGA FO 737 D - 17
PHL FO 320 I - 6
LGA FO 320 D - 21

An established old guard who stimey progress at this airline in the name of decades old grudges. Were more than happy to lock us into a subpar TA while the other Legacies leapfrog us in pay and continue to be light-years ahead in QOL.

Lot to consider for people who have a choice in what airline they want to spend the rest of their life at.

But I wasn’t wrong and you were, so?

So it is fact that every single new hire receives 2nd year pay at 1.5 years? How many new hires in the past year have not gotten the base of their choosing in 12+ months?
