Very true! Not until a new contract and the RSV rules change..coast bases will always have Capt. vacancy.

Quote: There really isn't a disparity. If you break it down, there's about 1 WB captain per 2 WB FO and 1 NB capt per NB FO.
Aha. Didn’t think about that.

Lots of retirements coming in the next 5-7 years in PHX? Those times going to come down much?

Quote: AA JFK widebody 25 years
Delta JFK widebody less than 1 year
United?

That is some serious disparity.
And on Reserve, working every weekend, holiday, Super Bowl for the next 15 yrs...but yeah, have at it.

And flying mostly domestic with occasional London and flying regional schedules on a 757. Nothing really that exciting.

No. It is not.
Nobody cares about girth, they care about pay
The airplanes that PAY (764, 330, 350) are 20+ years

… for $10/hr more than a 737/321.

Still excellent movement and an awesome option for those who want to live in the NYC area. Had AA’s inept management not rushed the retirement of the 332s and 757s, it’s very possible you’d see sub-2 year upgrades on the 757 at AA on this next vacancy.

Oh well.

Approximately 45% of PHX CAs retire in the next 5 years. For FOs it’s about 9%. So yes, lots of movement.

757/763 now pays the same as the 321 Neo..
But yes it's about 8-10 dollars more than the 321 and 73-9

It’s $317/hr job. Clearing close to $300k on first yr pay, that’s a lot of money. Then once seatlock is gone, they can go to WB B, and have better QOL.

$90/hr AA vs $317 DAL 7ER upgrade…+16% 401k + Profit Sharing next year (probably 7-10%).

That’s a lot of money difference and should be exciting.
