I have never been asked to fly after working a full day unless I first went home and got legal rest. Rick Barr spoke for about 20 minutes regarding seniority numbers and actually solicited input. He said that the company would oppose the issue and that we would be tacked to the bottom of the list if we voted for it.

Duh! Of course he is going to say that! What do you think he's going to say?

"Yeah, guys, you will all get DOH and you will be protected under the IPA contract." Of course he is going to paint a bleak picture so you all don't want to do it.

I think most of us have enough intelligence to make up our own minds about seniority and stapling. I think the outlook among most supervisors has changed from "never in a million years" to "show us what you have to offer".

Is there a M seniority list w/ date of hire available anywhere?

thanks

Contact IPA President Bob Miller for accurate information regarding management pilot/seniority integration, or anything else that "we may have to offer."

Why don't you tell us what the IPA has to offer? It seems you have a pipeline to Bob!!

From what I have been hearing on the line, a lot of the resistance to a date of hire integration has died off. The guys that I fly with seem a lot more open to the concept than they were 6 months or so back. Whatever the deal is going to be, it doesn't matter a whole lot what we might speculate out here now. The deal will be out in the open when the time comes.

We have it from very reliable sources that the company is "scared to death" that the management pilots will vote in excess of 35% of their populus in order to force a unionization vote with the NMB, if given the opportunity. We believe that the company now regrets how they treated the flight qualified management group during pay raise time in March of this year. Please tell the IPA to send us something.

I have a direct line to Bob, as do all UPS pilots. I will not speak for him on this or any other issue and can only tell you what what has been said publicly. However, if you still have questions, email him. He will address your concerns and keep the matter confidential.

As far as what the IPA has to offer, you'll have what we have per the contract. Nothing more nothing less. Min guaranteed days off, scheduled pay raises, no more FAR duty limits, the ability to say "no", job protection, etc. It seems to me that this will benefit the vast majority of mgmt pilots.

I believe that the greatest concern to management pilots is placement on the seniority list, especially the guys with only a few years of employment. That is what I meant about "contact from the IPA".
