There are certain requirements such as time at AMF, total flight time, you have to be in a type rated aircraft (SA227, BE1900, E120) and a non-line pilot position (training captain, check airman, management, etc.) So you can't come in, fly a daily run in a BE99 and get a recommendation to Allegiant. Unfortunately I can't speak to the SLC particulars since I have only flown up there for three days back when I first started here.
