Anyone here have a program that tracks 120 in 30 for bidding?
Quote: Ferd;
Also of note, I have not seen an 8K on from TSH on the acquisition of CPS. So they probably have a condition of sale in the purchase agreement about this flow. The devil is in the detail, and I would assume that there are quite a few in the ASA as well has the purchase agreements of both of these carriers.

Someone please clarify: Is an 8K required to be filed by a privately held company like Trans States???

Well, A) CLE has nothing, B) if NY had FL's tax structure then I think the dream team would've been assembled a long time ago there and James would be beggining to get in.

You know, for a thread that is on the cutting edge of societal disillusionment, we sure did get all caught up in Delta selling Compass and totally missed out on, well,

evidently

nothing

its times like this that make you happy we're fighting over section 1.

Whoa. I have problems getting 30 hours in 120 days, but thats no help. I apologize for posting nothing.
Quote: Yeah, now I'm starting to see the knight getting ready to take the queen. In other words, I see your point

I guess I just wasn't that sad to see Compass go away as I've always been mad that we had that jammed up our bums to begin with. Don't get me wrong, I really like the Compass guys I've commuted with as they are a great bunch of guys. I say flow/hire them all and let the new company worry about it. Or as NewK says, we'll fly 'em

Also, just to be clear, I'm glad we had the flow agreements as I'm sure that is the major reason we didn't furlough post merger.

Ferd <----still reading all the arguments

Ferd as a Compass pilot I appreciate the sentiment. I think most of the pilots here agree with Delta pilots; this scope sale has hurt us all. Compass is a refugee camp for a lot of extinct airlines, for most of us there was no better option at the time and most of us don't like to be associated with the race to the bottom of regionals. We hope that you preserve the flying that is yours and are able to recapture the flying that used to be yours. This is a pivotal moment for us all, a time to unite or divide. Because of the flow our interests have always been mainline growth. If the flow disapears I'm sure for many priorities will change. Hopefully this can work out for both parties.

We were supposed to keep that!

I kid. I kid. I have it on here somewhere.
Well, not nothing, take a pause here and remember that 70 years ago (June 18, 1940) Churchill gave this speech:

However matters may go in France or with the French Government or with another French Government, we in this island and in the British Empire will never lose our sense of comradeship with the French people. If we are now called upon to endure what they have suffered we shall emulate their courage, and if final victory rewards our toils they shall share the gains, aye. And freedom shall be restored to all. We abate nothing of our just demands—Czechs, Poles, Norwegians, Dutch, Belgians, all who have joined their causes to our own shall be restored.

What General Weygand has called the Battle of France is over. I expect that the Battle of Britain is about to begin. Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilisation. Upon it depends our own British life, and the long continuity of our institutions and our Empire. The whole fury and might of the enemy must very soon be turned on us. Hitler knows that he will have to break us in this island or lose the war. If we can stand up to him, all Europe may be freed and the life of the world may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands.

But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new dark age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science. Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves, that if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, This was their finest hour.

^ FTB Photo of a scared up Spitfire. If you're on the LHR overnight and have the time head on over to the Imperial War Museum. The building was actually the Bethlem Royal Hospital, a psychiatric hospital that is also known as Bedlam. In the 1700s or so you could go for amusement and watch the inmates/patients run around inside the walled gardens, hence, it was Bedlam down there today.

Spitfire R 6915 was flown by pilots of 609 (West Riding) Squadron in the Defence of London during the whole of the Battle of Britain. Its eight .303 inch Browning guns destroyed five enemy raiders in aerial combat over the capital and surrounding areas, and probably destroyed five others. The aircraft was flown by thirteen different pilots during its operational service but was most frequently assigned to Pilot Officer Noel le C Agazarian, who was responsible for seven of this aircraft’s successful sorties.

Spitfire R 6915 was withdrawn from service in July 1941 and for the rest of the war was used primarily for training purposes. It was transferred from the Air Ministry to the Imperial War Museum in August 1946.

BTW, that Churchill, what a talker. He almost sounds like me when I'm giving my wife and daughter a pep talk in the mornings after I crawl out of bed and finally find them.
Churchill, 4 June 1940

Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Gestapo and all the odious apparatus of Nazi rule, we shall not flag or fail.

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France,
we shall fight on the seas and oceans,
we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be,
we shall fight on the beaches,
we shall fight on the landing grounds,
we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,
we shall fight in the hills;
we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old."
