Quote: Can you guys tell me what the expected take home pay is for a new hire, assuming you have health insurance for either single or married.
1. While on reserve?
2. Once you hold a line?
Thank you

On reserve, all you can really count on is the min guarantee of 75 hours. That's only $1836 before taxes and insurance are taken out.

Once you hold a line, expect to credit 85-95 hrs a month, plus the added per diem while out on trips. I typically had around $2000 in pay per month, after taxes and insurance were deducted.

As far as the slot swap affecting CPZ, not real sure. I would have thought we would be doing more LGA flying, but according to the schedules for the next couple of months, it looks like CPZ will be doing quite a bit more SLC flying. There's even *rumor* of a possible base. Time will tell.
Is Compass still interviewing?

As far as I know, but I'm not 100% sure. Someone on another forum stated that there are 6 classes with 6 pilots each planned through Feb... but I have no way of confirming that.

Yep, I talked to a recruiter and the above info regarding classes is correct.
If that's the case, then the number of classes keeps going up when not a whole lot has changed. Maybe they're realizing that they need more captains and they're going to run upgrades or they're expecting something... Interesting.
They'll run some upgrades in the 1Q of 2012, they need the new FO's online to backfill the FO's that go to upgrade training.
Yea, I figured they'd have to but just a month ago I heard that they were running 3 classes of 6 and now it's 6 classes of 6... Oh well, either way it's good news.
