I am not endorsing this idea, but it is relevant.

If you have a 737 type and no time in the A/C, how else do you explain it. It's like having a pink elephant in the room.

Again, I have NO idea if it is even a factor.

I have a 737 type and 4000+ in it and I thought about the same thing in an interview. If I was in that boat I think that I would point it out before I could be asked.

I can see your point if a type was purchased and one had no time in the aircraft, but if one was sent to school on the 737 and flew the aircraft for a year or two then It's good experience to bring to the table. Having 737 time and applying at Atlas instead of SWA shows a desire to be at Atlas.

I had the 737 type and no hours when I applied/interviewed. Told them the truth, I used my GI Bill to pay for the type becaue I felt it was prudent to keep all my oprions open but that I like cargo way more than pax. Got me in the pool at least.

Four of my classmates had 737 types. So that's not the reason.

Test Gouge
Just got tapped for online test at Atlas. Does anybody have the 50 Questions Gouge or some reference material that they pull the test questions from. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please Pm me with info!

Hell, it'd be nice if Boeing would get the -8 certified and we actually take delivery of all the orders.

It'd be soopa doopa if some sort of twins and the -8s (orders and options) show up on property and no -400s disappear in the process...

The question list is in this thread a couple times, probably start looking back around this summer or fall. Couple folks have said "Everything Explained for the Airline Pilot" and "Ace the Airline Technical Interview" are good references to have.

There is a reason this thread is beyond 1000 posts...if you haven't already, and certainly before you go to the meet-and-greet in Miami, you need to sit down with a good cup of coffee or (better) a tall glass of your favorite adult beverage and read each and every post.

Kudos to all that have contributed...especially the candidates that are somewhere in the pipeline. You guys are keeping the guys behind you in the sequence informed and supplied with information that those of us line pilots can't provide.

But, you gotta read the entire thread...
