Quote: That's all fine and good, but I got the confirmation from the guy who you will be sitting across from as hey asks you questions about your flight time and resume. I spoke to him personally on the phone early this morning. Good research though, but per sortie is not how Atlas is doing it. He specifically said, "1.2 per flight hour".
Totally agree, I was not saying you were incorrect. I was clearing up the post by LowSlowT2, saying that "everyone" uses /sortie conversion. I will be adding your info to my list. I appreciate the info!

That's why I also said it's not official. These were accurate the last time that all of these airlines were hiring. I would not assume that they have kept the same conversions...as always, check the website or make that call like JT has done.

Quote: Cant pull up the new PAQ with iPhone. Can anyone tell me if it's the as the last one? Ive already sent an updated PAQ from last time. Just wondering if I'm gonna have to fill out another. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Not the same as the last one I had. This one adds how much FMS time you have and in what type of aircraft.

The last one had that, too.

Some guy on that "other" forum is claiming he got a call yesterday for an interview end of Aug...Anyone heard anything? He could just be trolling....

It does seem like a lot. (The 1.2 conversion). I will be in Miami on Friday(9 days) for PC and 747-8F differences training and will keep my ears open for any new information as it comes. Anything new will end up on here as I hear it.
Cheers and Good Luck!

There was a rumor going around that to fill the 4 Sep class, they had to call some pilots that had not made the pool from previous interview sessions. The word was for interviews for the last week of Aug, so that matches.

One of my reccs got called today.

Application and PAQ, phone screen and online test were all done prior the last window closing.

He had an interview scheduled and it was cancelled due to the spigot being turned off.

Calls are going out.

Best of luck!

I'm not quibbling with what he said to you at all. No disrespect intended, but if I were going through the paces to get an app in at Atlas, I'd much prefer to read this as their policy somewhere other than an anonymous online forum. It's only because it is so radically different from everyone else in the industry and doesn't address the specific reason for the conversion in the first place. But it's definitely their ball and they can play with it however they like...just be nice if the info was available on the website. Again, no disrespect or doubt intended or implied.

Incidentally, I don't have a dog in this fight as I'm not applying to Atlas, but I do try to follow what's going on in the ACMI world.

Quote: So it's more like 2200 sorties & 6,000 hours. I'm amazed at how many sorties/hours they have "missed" in my very short career. Not that it really matters for your times.
I have whole years where they have no records on me at all and I can't tell if any of my time is recorded - from back when they transitioned from the old mainframe systems in the late '90s to the 'modern' oracle-based system they use today. Unbelievably, they can't pull a master sortie-by-sortie log on you. Keep your annual printouts!! If you keep a log book, bring it with you to your annual review and compare line-by-line.

I didn't keep a log book after the first few years, but even comparing just that to my master print out shows several errors and omissions in the first few years alone, so you're probably likely very right. Most of my friends couldn't believe how few hours I had as a fly-only guy...

In an attempt to bring this thread back to it's original intent and away from the mil conv factor or Mac vs. Windows argument.......

Has anybody got a reply from their resume submission on/after the window opened on 8/13/12? If so, what was the response? Interview dates?
