At least you're swimming "Ponch" (Chip1). Dammit man, my Res has been in since June 10th of last year and notta yet. Regular Regional Joe (XJT) with 10,000 Tot and 7000 TPic and LORs. I at least want to get my feet wet before the years up. I would love to be pruning in the pool right about now. Consider yourself lucky chip1, and congrats!

I find it hard to believe as well that the end of May is the last class this year. It's possible, I suppose, but unlikely. I've no special crystal ball but it's in the nature of HR to avoid painting a rosy picture. That way they don't have to backtrack.

This "last class of the year" talk needs to be clarified. None of these dates that have been discussed in the past have been the last class of the year. These dates are the last class that have been currently planned at this time.
As in, Atlas management has not planned one way or another on when the next class after May 30th will be. There are just too many variables to set a date on the next class at this time.
The way things are going around here, I do not believe that classes will stop anytime soon.

That's N850GT and I saw the next Atlas -8F inside the hangar (still with the green coating) on the production floor when we took the tour of the facility last week...we even got to stand inside that one.
Great experience...every pilot (and aspiring pilot) should make the pilgrimage to this shrine!!

Hiring Update from our ask and answer forum on the employee side of the company website. This should reassure some of you in the pool. The red underlined text is of my own doing.
Question: Is HR still taking recommendations from current crewmembers in the new hire recruiting process? </B>
Response: Yes, pilot hiring will slow as we continue the Classic to -400/-8 transition, but will pick up momentum in the 4th quarter. Referrals are welcome.
