Yeah, yeah...I get all that. In my post I never referred to Atlas specifically. I'll take your word that Atlas has done a great job so far.
MY POINT, is that if a company opens a window or application process for any position, in which you have to complete on-line processes or send information to them electronically, they should at minimum acknowledge that they have received what you submitted. The argument that there are only a few people in HR and thousands of applicants does not fly with the technology they have today. Everything could be sent to an email address that sends an automatic reply if it contains the proper subject line which could be directed to the applicant to do, etc., etc. Even with all this technology, things can go wrong and not work correctly. There are lots of emails and text messages that were supposedly sent to me that never made it.
With the process of trying to get a flying job being long and arduous anymore, starting the process out having NO idea if they have received your stuff is frustrating to say the least.

I agree with you 100%.....Auto Response goes a long way in at least letting one know that----at the very LEAST----the submission was recieved....

Anyone get a call yet? I have been grilling all day waiting for the phone to ring. If it doesnt it will give me more time to study for the next round. Day dreaming of being in class and having to wake super early to do my championship brisket and pulled pork. Good times and good luck to all.

Your response time will vary from a few days to around year with a majority being at least weeks or months away. The response to my many resumes was nearly nine months, so if you're sitting around the phone all day, unplug the charger and get mobile and get patient. Very patient.
And read through this thread if you haven't already done so. You'd better be prepared to field the call on the first try and if you're away from your phone, leave a message that you are flying and will return the call asap. They seem to really like eager and enthusiastic applicants.
I have no idea about getting hired with the face hair, but I don't remember seeing any new hires with it. It'll always grow back...
And PtP; I'll give you the point that they could be better at communicating to the applicants. Not everything at Atlas is perfect by a long shot. But they are very good at some really important things like hiring great people, investing in modern/efficient equipment, spreading risk among many strong customers, and making money. So hang in there. If you jumped through the hoops properly and your quals are good, they'll call. It will be worth it in the end.

FNG was spotted with an ALPA 'stache this week.
I think typical airline-style mouth-mounted willie-worms are OK. Save the 'fu until you're online.
YMMV.

We are a funny dedicated competitive group to watch. I'm using this time to prepare for that wonderful test that the Wright Brothers may even have to call in a few CRM pros.
Want this real bad, but I need to improve my test taking golf swing. You overachievers have raised the bar for many of us--- good luck to all. And thanks to many who have posted some outstanding material.
How long before thw 5000ththread?

Thanks DC8 driver. I most def will not be by the phone forever. I do realize that my 7000 plus hours of RJ time will prob be at the bottom of list this round with all the World guys ect. It is nice to see things opening up. I have read all the threads and cant wait for the chance to be gone 17 plus days a month. Im all set I already have the first divorce out of the way with zero attachments. JK. Well not really anyway havent posted here and just wanted to say thanks for all the Atlas guys for the info and all the well deserved Atlas new hires for your gouge. Thanks

Don't think your 7k hours is sufficient? I wouldn't think that for one moment...Atlas is looking for a mixture of experience and backgrounds to fill their requirements. And as DC8 has said many times over here, they have succeeded in figuring out who they want. And it just might be you!!
Good luck.
Good luck.

Wow, of 7000 hours isn't sufficient, what chance do I stand with 3800 hours?
I've got to believe Atlas is just like everyone else, if you meet the mins, it comes down to personality and are you the right "fit" for the company.
