Atlas Air Hiring
#2882
for both the phone interview and the in-person interview, I gave some thought to how I'd answer questions I'd seen on this thread, but then pretty much forgot about it and winged it when asked for real. I dislike canned answers and figured they could tell if I'd rehearsed or not. I know others who could recite their answers like memory items on an oral. Find what feels good to you and stick with it.

... or have they omitted that from the interview package these days?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I spoke to Brittany in HR today on behalf of a friend of mine who had gotten a call a while back but was unable to interview yet. She told me that there will be no more 744 interviewing for the rest of this year and they are about to close the website to new applicants. For those of you who have 767 time, there will be interviews in Feb. She said to watch the website frequently in case something changes. This is all she said. Sorry about the bad news, but it's better than wondering. This information came from my phone call with her today. Please don't shoot the messenger.

I think this may have to do with the Classic guys going over to the 744/748...and we are starting to do more flying on the 767 right now. Plus the DHL 767s are going to start coming (one per month) starting in February for a total of 5 airplanes.

So it seems not too long ago it was 30 a month for most of 2012, then only around 6 per month, now nothing more for 2012. Hopefully the backlog will flush out soon, new orders will indeed come and this will be a short term glitch. My hope as I stare at my phone daily for the 914 area code to pop up......
