I know I got lucky to have it happen that fast. No class date yet. Good luck to those still waiting.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but...
"Value your time and experience"? Not so much. They seem just fine with very large attrition numbers rather than paying pilots what they are worth to stay.
"Maintain QOL"..."in tune with each other? I almost fell out of my chair laughing at those!
Make no mistake, Atlas is running VERY THIN and expect the pilots to take up the slack at every turn all for well below industry standard wages!
Now, with the recent announcement of the acquisition, there is a great deal of uncertainty about the company's intentions. Time will tell.

One Dot High, nothing personal but your entire post reeks of management BS trying to blow sunshine where it is not wanted. If you feel that these are the conditions you will be walking into, then I suggest you turn around and RUN the other way as you will be quickly dismayed. If you have the option I would return to your current employer and stay. Good Luck.
Nope just a grateful pilot here. It is all about the people and from my buddies at Atlas they seem optimistic. Tuff in aviation I know, but it is all about attitude. We all have some stories don't we!
BayBums posts have always been insightful and professional. He's absolutely right. The reason people like their jobs here is because they come with low expectations. I include myself in that! I knew why I was getting into so I wasn't surprised or bitter when the **** started hitting the fan. If you can look at it like that going in, you will enjoy your time here. If you look at it like you are, you WILL be sorely disappointed.

Well good news we have more and more options moving forward as professionals. It seems worth a shot. Pilot's are the biggest asset for companies. Attracting and retaining them will be challenges all carriers face moving forward. We all have had bad experiences in our profession, hoping to be a part of something good again is something we all desire.
Well said. As in all things, perception is subjective and relative. I learned early on here not to be too vocal about how much better Atlas was than the last place I flew. Some didn't believe it and others just became irritated that I wasn't as angry as they were. Things could indeed be better and I think we have a good chance at attaining that goal. We will do that not by stomping our feet and holding our breath until we turn blue. Rather, it will be done by being professional and flying the current contract to the letter. In the meantime I intend to enjoy life as much as I can and Atlas is a pretty good place to do just that.

I also made it in to the pool. I got the email this pm after interviewing 1/20. I have only flown freight: postal, emery, dhl. Not a lot of jet time, but TPPIC, and FE time.
1/8 Job fair
1/9 Test invite
1/11 Test completed with 93%
1/15 Phone interview with DB
1/20 Interview
I had one internal rec, and three external letters with me that the HR lady read and pass it to the panel while I was talking.
I don't know exactly what they are looking for, but I believe someone who is going to stay for a while. A regional CA/FO might be seen as someone that wants to fly wide body 2-3 yrs and then go back to the Legacy, bypassing his ex coworkers that stay at the regional waiting for upgrade or more PIC time and spending 4-5 yrs. at that regional.
On the other side, the Manager of Training said that they love RJ drivers. Maybe they are more trainable. Who knows.
Good luck everyone.

Spot on Talon. Be greatful what we have in life. Things could be worse. We will get improvements, but we are the reason the company has walked all over us.
How in the world do we have an 83% hire rate? When we interviewed v, the rate was much lower. HR must have gotten really good with the phone interview. I would hire everyone who showed up, personally, but 83% just seems odd. I just don't know how the training department can manage such growth.
