Come on, nothing?

The Saabs are gone. All pilots will be on the 737. There are a total of 4 aircraft -300 series. I heard that they are interviewing for a pool right now. The word is the 767 program should start once contract negotiations are complete. I heard the negotiations are going great and should be wrapped up in another month or so. Hawaiian loves guys from Aloha so we'll see what happens when HA opens their window again. It could be a mass exodus leaving with quick upgrades looming.

NAC Cargo says it has 767s and will be getting more. Both NAC and Aloha are advertising for 737 FO's. Which is better, ie; has the upgrade time?

I'm not sure about the NAC side but things are already starting to move fast here at AAC. There will be a lot of movement in the next two years at Aloha. Both companies will be operating 767's. I heard a rumor that not many NAC guys want to do the 767 flying. Take it FWIW. I think your decision should be made on which contract is better and would afford you a better qol rather than chasing the upgrade.

I talked to the HR lady yesterday. She said interviews will begin in a couple weeks for a late November class date. They are looking to hire four guys for the November class. Another eight for classes early next year. She said the app asks if you are available to start November. My guess is guys who said they're available will get the first calls for the interview. I was told they received 100+ apps with around 20 shortlisted.

Can anyone share if the type of cargo flying similar to the big cargo guys or ad hoc guys back on the main land. Or is is a mixture of day and night flying. Currently living on the west coast and would love to move to the island and fly for them. I have time in type. Feedback would be appreciated.

A thread, somewhere, oh yeah, Hawaiian Airlines, has Hawaii as expensive as all get out. It might be hard to attract some based on this. Interisland, Ohana/Empire, Transair (I know I know) are looking as well.

It's a mixture of day and night flying. You get to sleep in your bed every night.( if not flying a night schedule) The night flying can be a little rough but the company is working to reduce the night schedule to avoid burnout. Typical night line starts at 2200 and ends around 0700. Not much of a factored in break. 6-8 legs, avg night block 4-5 hrs. If you get behind on the scheduled your are playing catch up the rest of the night. Day lines start at 1000 or 1500 some end at 1900 and other lines end around 2330. The day lines has breaks and are much easier than nights. The day lines go very senior. The company uses pref bid and the schedule is comprised of 17 work days in a 28 day bid period. 14 fly days and 3 reserve days. No airport standby. 2 hr call out which is definitely needed on Oahu. No concrete info on how the 767 schedule will be next year. The new contract should be done by the end of the year is the rumor.
