Last I heard, they has a class of 5 Saab FO's and 0 showed up to class. So if you want to work there, just show some interest, and bring a tent to live in cause the Saab pay is garbage.

How long to Slaab Capt, then 737 FO and finally 737 Capt?
Do they provide uniforms and pay and lodging in training?
Thanks

It's been less than 1 year and you're correct 2 years maximum before their pilot have to fly it per their CBA.

Benefits full health, dental, 401k, CASS, plus zed fares for family on Delta, Alaska, Hawaiian.

Top two FO's on the Saab have been here two years and one is upgrading now due to the 1000hr req, however there are three Saab CA's junior to him that upgraded first because they had the 1000 hrs already. Alpha is currently paying some Saab Captains on the 737 FO payscale to keep them in the Saab rather than upgrading due to needing to retain captains. Side note, our 73 FO's make more than our Saab CA's, hence the pay protection. Last 73 upgrade was probably a '12/'13 New hire. Uniforms provided, travel and lodging and per diem during training.

More Q's pm me!

Panel Interview was very easy and straight forward. Desktop sim really no problem basic instrument stuff. I was offered job but elected to pass on it for now. Just too much going on personally.

The benefits I thought were great for the employee. Medical looked pretty good...more than 1 option. You will have to live on the island full time as the schedules will be tough to commute. First year pay is FO.

I really liked how friendly all the employees were. The new facility is very nice and I think they will do well.

Aloha is now paying Saab pilots more. They just instituted an annual bonus of $20,000 to all Saab pilots. Every 3 months Saab captains & F/Os get paid an extra $5000. No contract or anything like that. I guess management realized that they aren't paying Saab guys enough so this is supposedly a stopgap measure until the Saab pay scale can be improved in the next CBA. With this bonus, 1st yr Saab F/Os are making over $50K annually, and 1st yr Saab Captains are making over $60K. Add in the good QOL, the dudes in the Saab I've talked to there seem pretty happy.

FO's are required to have their ATP correct? Do you think after next summer they will start sending new hires who don't already have their ATP done to an in house course like many regionals are already doing?

It's been quiet for sometime. I've just read that the Saabs are going but they are hiring for expansion? A new type or more 737s? They still flying the -200s?

And what of parent NAC? They were supposed to ge a new contract? I'm typed in the 737 so I guess that's good but not sure if they care.

Actually NAC and Aloha Cargo are subsidiaries of Saltchuk Resources.
