That is the government way of interviewing.
No undue 'influence' from the INTERVIEWER.

Not for this position - but our technical interview for my job was the same.
The interviewer even 'apologized' up front for soundingobot like a robot.
He said he could repeat the question, but could give no further clarification or answer any other question.
