The seniority is going straight to arbitration, from what I understand the ATI MEC made a lot of promises to their pilot group concerning some issues in the contract and seniority, neither of which they had a right to do. In fact what I understand is JV withdrew some agreements that would have fixed some of the contract issues after Ace Ventura and his buddies wouldn't play ball. Kind of negotiation in good faith gone bad.

As for the seniority the ATI MEC knows they can't give what they promised so when an arbitrator rules they can go back to the pilot group and say it isn't their fault, they tried.

Stop right there. Flat out delusional. Nobody promised anything to anyone. As for negotiating in good faith? This whole process was/is based on a lie.

Read my last post. You don't want it and we don't want it in its present form.

You're welcome

No JCBA, I think the next step should be to TERMINATE the whole process per the TPA then let Hete and his boys figure out what to do next.

Something like... Shutter CCI (sorry only for the pilots).. Send 757's to CAM... Send 727 to AZ Boneyard. CAM leases 757's to ATI..... Cappy pilots get preferential hiring at ATI, some deal like the ABX pilots got.

Then blame the Unions for not dealing fair.

You know the only thing I hate more than a idiot is a grammar nazi, and you sir are both. I want to apologize for not proof reading my replies, I'm currently busy trying to give DHL 98%+, what's your on-time performance this month?

One last question that perplexes me, I keep hearing this "there's nothing in the JCBA for the ATI pilots." Isn't it the same contract you guys voted in less than a year ago? What were you expecting to get? I'm real curious about that.

Yes it is the same contract voted in less than a year ago. So why should we vote it in again if they only thing we are going to get is a LOSS of seniority while the other side gets upwards of a 60% pay raise. Just asking..

When this merger was announced, I was all for it. Then several events made me change my mind.

First was the "need it for the combi contract statement." That one seemed unlikely at the time and turned out to be an abvious untrue statement. This one has never been addressed.

Second was the Jakarta e-mail. ATI guys know what I'm talking about and we see it for what it was.

Next was the combined voting process that we were not told about in the beginning.

The final straw was when they furloughed at ATI while recalling at Capital. An obvious manipulation of the system to eliminate ATI pilots in order to save money.

That's why I voted NO NO NO!!!

Well said sir! SLI will not happen if the JCBA is voted down. ATI folks feel, as CCIA folks have stated here, that we would both be better off going it alone. We were given two reasons for this merger, need the Combi contract and to save jobs, both have proven to be untrue, hence the lack of support from the ATI side. That and the previous mentioned potential for loss of seniority which could lead to more furloughs focused on ATI folks. I understand CCIA's side and respect their position, but this is all about protecting our folks and our culture.

Yes, I am wondering the same thing myself. I don't have time to decipher 200 pages of attorney gibberish. Anybody have the "cliff notes" version of how the JCBA differs from the contract from a year ago? (aside from the obvious seniority problem)

The merger more than likely will happen. From what I gather, there's no advantage for the ATI pilot to vote yes. Was the pot sweetened up, even a little bit, in an attempt to get more ATI pilots to vote in favor?

Guys, I can tell you from my experience flying with ATI, Polar Air and Atlas...this is going to turn into the same bs "pit the pilots against each other" tactic that we experienced at Atlas/Polar. It's straght out of the Frank Lorenzo playbook. They are pitting you against each other to cause chaos and use your fighting against each other to get what they want. Stand your ground, be strong, don't take any BS and stick it to those POS effers who deserve it, not your fellow pilots. They are prob reading this forum and laughing their asses off whatching ya'll fight amongst each other. Don't give them the satisfaction.
