Quote: The only way to get your app scored as officially mentioned by the Delta Pilot Selection team is via internal Rec or attending the Delta in person job fair that they hold on the ATL campus.

Even thought they don’t mention the DAL ATP CTP, the results have shown that if you attend that course, interview invites follow...sometimes within 48hrs of course completion. My personal date: 4 squadron buddies all used the DAL ATP CTP...all got invited to interview within 24-72 hours of completion.

Gotcha. I got mine reviewed via their CTP program, but did not know it wasn’t an “official” method. Thanks.

Anecdotally this seems to be a common factor in a lot of mil guys getting interviews lately.

I wouldn’t doubt it. It’s been a common option in our community for over a year now. Several of us did it through Mil2ATP. It’s a great package deal.

But assuming that a majority of mil pilots are getting an interview after DAL ATP CTP, we don't know if DAL ATC CTP is the reason military are getting interviews, or if that's just the path of least resistance and the majority of military pilots are getting their ATP via this path.

My anecdotal data points are that Mil ATP CTP guys “jump” Mil non-ATP CTP guys in getting an interview invite. Apparently on Mil forums it’s not “what were your quals,” but rather “did you do the ATP-CTP program?” I guess there are a few frustrated mil guys that regret not doing DAL’s ATP-CTP program.

Had an internal submitted but he spelled the name of the airline wrong in his letter. Does that mean his rec went straight into the trash?

1) You mean he wrote United instead of Delta?

2) And he did it on an internal rec that he emailed stright to hiring department?

3) Air Lines....two words

Assuming its just airline vice air line I'd be surprised if they cared a lot. Not something I'd recommend, but both my internal recommendations spelled it Delta Airlines in their letters. Then again who knows what matters and what doesn't. When both my internals misspelled it I asked them to resubmit with the correct spelling since I was paranoid of everything when I was in the job hunt process.

The one and only recommendation I had on file when I got the interview invite also spelled Airlines wrong. I graciously asked him to resubmit it after I pointed it out. Got the invite a few short weeks later.

No. It doesn’t jump the line. What does help is the fact you got your ATP from a reputable/classic/professional source. It’s kinda like a brick and mortar school v an online degree. That stat could get the bump over a sea of sameness. With that said, any well established ATP program would provide the same results. There are many factors, it really isn’t as simple and anecdotal as it may seem.
