Ha got the email about virtual job fair...thought it was a invite to interview at first... fail

Are these typically invite-only, or mass-gaggle?

 

Mass I believe , they had it on their Facebook page too so doubt it’s invite only

 

Bummer. Not nearly as happy now.

 

Yes it sucks to be disappointed ha that’s how I felt when I saw it and thought it was a interview invite. I would think though attending would be a good sign to them that you’re commited?

 

Are virtual fairs done via live video, are you just listening to audio, are you typing questions, or what? I’ve never done one before and have no idea what the process is.

 

Friend of mine has applied to Delta, got fix-it email a little while back, and recently received an email saying that Delta is not expected to do very much hiring this year. Anyone else get something similar?

"Many of you have been asking about our next recruiting event, and we’re pleased to announce that we’ll be participating in Aero Crew Solutions’ Online Virtual Job Fair on April 19th from 11:00am - 4:00pm EST. Registration is free, and we’ll be providing hiring updates along with other information about Delta and our pilot selection process. While we won’t be accepting resumes during the event, we’ll be taking your questions online. If you’re working on the 19th there’s no need to worry, all that content will remain on the server for several days after the event concludes. To register for the event click on the link at the bottom of this post. We know that in person events are more personal and provide a much better opportunity to get to know each other. We will host future Career Expos, on the Delta Campus, in the not too distant future. While we would love to host one right now, those events are a fairly major undertaking, and traveling to them can also represent a major expense for you, the candidates, even with registration being free. Currently, we have a large volume of applications that have been reviewed and are in the queue to receive an interview invite once a slot becomes available. Because of that, applicants we would have met this spring wouldn’t be coming in for interviews for a considerable period of time, so we decided that this Virtual Job Fair would be a great way for you to be able to get updates about Delta, without the expense and hassle of attending a live event.
