Sounds about right. I've moved up 55 spots (as of July) since January.

From my experience I had an minor issue with a checkride. Like Coolhand said don't try and sugar coat it.
They will send you a form giving you full opportunity to explain yourself and situation. Use this as a time to investigate and reflect. For example I went and dug out my old PTS standard book and found exactly to the T what I had done wrong. I then went through and dotted all of my "I"s. As in "I"did this and "I"did that. Wrapped it up with a nice learning experience and I spell checked the thing and off it went.
Now I did run into a guy once who complained about getting a call but not the interview. After about three beers he conceded he filled this form out. 2 beers later he divulged what he remembers writing down. It was not good. He knew he messed up.

I would think that they would give you the interview if they didn't want to hire you. This is just the time to prove that you're the person your resume makes you look like.

I am willing to bet that we won't be taking anymore 320s from here on out, it will be all 321s.

I understand competetive hours are around +- 5000hrs... does anyone know how much of an "advantage" being typed on the 320 gives you?
i currently have 2800TT, 2200A320 sic, and currently PIC typed on the a320

I think 2800TT will be a hard sell. That said, the more you apply the better. Applying multiple times shows interest. Also, since you don't have a ton of time, going to a few job fairs will help significantly.

I know someone who got hired with fewer hours. It depends what the rest of your resume says. That said, I've never heard of a nonmilitary guy get hired that low time. See what they say at job fairs.
