Quote: Question: Whats a realistic time frame from application finished, to phone call/email, interview date, and class date? I'm currently working abroad for a bit and want to apply, but don't want to miss it and get passed over. Earliest I could be prepared for an interview is about 6 weeks, if I were lucky enough to hear anything that is.

Thanks in advance.
It all depends on what they see. I have put in a couple of rec's and also know of a few that have got a phone call within 2 days of their stuff hitting HR's / CP's desk. Some take weeks or not at all, too many variables.

When they phone you and if they don't get a response ie VM they tend to call the person on the list. A friend was out flying and got a call, by the time he was able to call HR they had filled all the interview slots. He missed (due to flying and call tag) 2 interview slots and when he was hired he actually missed 2 classes (and thus seniority) from this.

Good to know, I may be waiting then. What was the exp level of the guys that got the immediate call?

If they are not planning to make a career at Atlas, they might just be better off over here. We look like it may go to 2 or less years for upgrade

Got the call the interview next week if my schedule works out so I can make it to YIP in time otherwise gotta wait until June.

Former regional guy but made the jump a few years ago to a left seat position at a 91/135 operator to get some Turbine PIC time.

Talked with the woman from the HR department yesterday she was very nice and layed out the interview process for me.
Day 1- Meet and greet, sit down with chief pilot and some HR people. Some standard tech questions and "tell me about a time" "why should we hire you". Just getting to put a face to your resume it seems. If all goes well they invite you back for day two.
Day 2- drug test, paperwork, sim eval, show you around.

Very excited for the opportunity, did I miss anything? Anyone who is current right seat there have any advice?

Standard interview stuff, if you lack a filter with what you say, or don't know the basic interview stuff then I highly suggest an interview prep course. Otherwise, just be someone that we can stand to be with on a trip.
As for the sim, know how to enter a hold, and intercept an ils with no FD or automation. I assume the sim eval is the same, but more critically looked at? I didn't interview with the new system.

I guess she failed to tell you about the personality profile test and the aptitude test on day one which weigh heavy on whether you get asked back to day 2.....

Nope that's my mistake she quickly went over the aptitude test as well.

Anyone have a gauge to what flight time on the low end for civilian experienced pilots is? Couple friends considering the jump to K4 from the Regional 121/135 world, and interested in what the typical TT/TPIC experience is
