Quote: On my last 3 trips, 2 Captains solid "no." One Captain on the fence --> tafacts.com --> became a solid "no."

3 jumpseaters, all Captains, all "no."
When I look at chit chat, I realize, it's Captains on the attack. I kind of try to throw something out there but really just get out of the way.

I don't understand what the thought process was on this TA. Divide and conquer is normally the ideal way to... conquer. So go all 8633 and throw the FOs under the bus. It'll pass. Or maybe don't throw the FOs under the bus, just the sick or afraid of being sick. It'll pass. Or wait, instead of those two groups, throw the wannabe WB pilots 4ever under the bus. It'll pass.

Instead, they threw everyone under the bus. It's like the opposite of divide and conquer. They got the FOs mad, the Captains that standup for FOs mad, they got those afraid of being sick mad, WB guys are mad, NB guys who want to be WB guys are mad, NB who don't care about WB flying but get what it would do to NB flying mad. Those who can do math are mad. It even got PTC guys mad. Which made Donatelli mad. Everyone is mad.

And we're making billions in profits. And we all mad. Good job guys, good job.

ftb.....the senior captains of today.....were the b scale new hires of the mid/late 80's.

speaking for myself.....the objection to seeing junior pilots circumstances and future being sacrificed runs pretty deep. cant say about anyone else....but I swore I'd never be one of 'those' guys....

Appreciate that and I hope to be the same.

It's not just Captains, it's senior Captains. I mean I can be a Captain right now, but it's not the same. These are senior Captains who aren't buying it.

When you see that, you just go sit in the corner and watch.

After C2012, a couple of things happened. Bastian stated in a conference call that the profit sharing was going to pay for a portion of the pay raises. Delta invested in Virgin Atlantic, a refinery, GOL air lines and bought 76 seat RJ's.

If after C2015, they repeat the same pattern. Will any of you yes voters feel a little foolish? In other words, why did the company need concessions?

We're gonna need a bigger bus!

I read the following on TA Facts they gave it a thumbs down: Section 1.E.9 allows unlimited international alter ego using company’s name, brand, logos, and livery with approval from MEC chairman only.

What are the current protections against this happening?

None outside of just the scope language. However its a thumbs down because the power is given to the MEC chair rather than by committee. Nobody likes it when one person holds the keys it destroys the system of checks and balances.

Incidentally im told the JV settlement was a one man show.
