Quote: I'm not involved in hiring in any way or affiliated with G4...but it seems that with those stats you may be...overqualified? Maybe a job fair ought to help convince the recruiters that you will stay instead of running off to a legacy as soon as they called you.

Quote: Pay rates don't start until the 15th. Unless missing something but this is what it says in the contract, it does say BY so I guess they could start sooner:

"The Reserve Bid Line Minimum Guarantee and Pay Rate changes referenced in subsection 3.C. and subsection 3.CC., respectively, shall be implemented by 15 August 2016."
Pay rates start today, they are required to have the pay change included by the paycheck on the 15th.

The half guaruntee you get on the 15th of each months pay check is for the first half of every month. So the inplimintation of the pay rates on the 15th of August pay check means you are paid the first half of August at the new pay rate. Thus our new pay rate starts on August first.

Quote: It's been very junior historically, lots of people get it as a new hire but most can hold a real base before they finish training. It could possibly start to get more senior since our per diem has gone up and you'll now be getting an extra $1600ish a month tax free. You can also take the 'hotel option' and be paid for half the cost of the hotel but you then need to provide your own housing and transportation.

It's nice we have this now, it cuts back on the involuntary TDY for the guys who don't wanna leave their domicile.
It's already going senior. The last few classes of 80 pilots could not hold any VBD slots. I can't speak for the Bus.

80 classes will resume shortly.

See the highlighted portion. Looks like we get retro pay.

Quote: So we will have 2 pay rates on the 15th paycheck? What could go wrong?
That is correct. I'm guessing payrolls email box will be very full on the 15th. Should be interesting to watch!

So for those of us going to recurrent training before Dec 1st...we should expect to be paid for that under the new rules? Possibly a few months late?

This is correct. Everything pay starts today. They just may not have the systen set up to process accurately until the date listed in implementation. Either way everything is retro to date of signing. That is today.
