There have been a few DTW 717s in the new hire drops this year.

Not a ton but a few.

If you don’t hear anything after 12 months, the DAL pilot can submit another E-mail on your behalf requesting that your app be reviewed.

There is no guarantee of an interview using this method. It does however guarantee that your app is reviewed within 30 days of the employee emailing pilot selection on your behalf.

Good luck.

Edit: you will not know that they have looked at your application. You may hear nothing or you may get an invite to interview. The process is posted on DLNet. They will look at it sometime within the 30 days following the E-mail. Guaranteed.
Where can we find this email, or the info on DLNet? Is it some kind of acronym like everything else here?

How long is it taking guys to bid SEA?

Over the next year dtw will add 40 737 positions, only 10 320 positions for some reason, so with that and backfills you should get it within 6 months if there are consistent ae. The 717 base may Shrink if msp opens and the 757 is starting it’s decline out of dtw and msp.
The 330 and 350 are there too but not touchable for a while

There are new hires getting both the 73N and 7ER (757) in SEA in the class drops (just not every one of them has the position). If you don't get it in the drop it seems to be happening very quickly if you are on the right equipment. You can bid to change equipment if the equipment you're on doesn't have a base where you want to go in a year, so worst case would likely be a year and best case is it's your first base.

Seat Lock
Seat Lock is two years now for new hires. So if a new hire gets equipment that does not exist in the base they want then they would have to wait two years to bid the base they want (not one) correct?

No, 2 years to switch planes in same base. 1 year to change planes to get to new base.

Both pretty jr, 14,333 for 737, 14,308 for 717. There's no base lock so basically the first AE that provides a vacancy or opportunity to backfill. Could be a month or a year and a half, who knows.

Be careful with taking the 717....Word on the street is when the C series comes online it's moving back east.
